Henriksen skiffs are built different. 

Here we don't use "foam filler" between the hull and deck that will ultimately absorb water and add weight to the boat. Henriksen skiffs utilize a hi-density carbon-based foam to build our decks, transom, and stringer grid system. 

Not only will this material never rot or break down but it will not absorb water either. 

Henriksen skiffs are also built thicker than most. Our hull walls are over a half inch thick and hull bottoms over 3/4 of an inch thick. No chopper gun material just solid woven cloth that will hold up to what ever you can throw at it.
